Social media presents multiple challenges for schools, staff members, and students. It is important for campuses to:
- Establish clear expectations and consistent procedures for both staff and students.
- Educate students and parents on the dangers and challenges of using social media.
- Educate staff members on the potential consequences of inappropriate use of personal or professional postings on social media channels.
- Use technology for learning without relying on social media and using platforms that limit distractions.
- Monitor and support students who may be struggling with social media addiction.
